What we do

The Mildred Cursh Foundation is a non-profit organization located in the heart of Venice, CA that caters to the Venice/Oakwood community through various events and services we provide. The Foundation was established in 2002 in honor of Mildred Cursh Reynolds, who was an inspirational figure in the Oakwood neighborhood of Venice, CA.

She helped develop the Concerned Parents Group as well as the Oakwood Beautification Committee. She was extremely dedicated to outreach work throughout the neighborhood and worked closely with Councilwoman Ruth Galanter. The organization's purpose is to offer support to the families of prisoners and mentor their children who are living in difficult conditions. We provide after-school tutoring, food distributions, summer events, and educational events.
